Healthy clean skin is vital to creating the base for any beauty regime.
At the end of the day make sure all of your make-up is off by using an eye make-up remover and either a cream, milk or wash of cleanser. At night apply a lip balm and a night cream that is suitable for your skin type; exfoliating once a week cleanses pores and removes dead skin cells.
After waking up and cleansing, splash or spray your face with cold water and apply a moisturiser, taking care not to use too much as this may make your foundation flfloat on the skins surface.
A foundation primer can be used for women who’s base doesn’t stay put – ‘New Cid Cosmetics i-prime’ £27.
Choosing a good foundation is a really important step in creating a flawless but real look. Even if you suffer from problem skin it is still possible to cover and conceal in a natural looking way. When covering any blemish I generally use a brush (Maggie Hunt No.1 Brush) with the same foundation that I used on the face.
To create the perfect eye base and to lift shadows under the eyes once again I use No.1 Brush and a foundation two shades lighter than the one I used on the face. I only use concealer in the most extreme of circumstances.
